Creating the Sean McNeil watch brand
Sean McNeill has been a watchmaker and watch repairer for more than 40 years. In fact, if you’ve ever worked in the vicinity of Piccadilly Circus, London, there’s a good chance you’ll have taken a watch to his small workshop in the Tube station – even if only for a new battery or strap.
Marketing a branded watch was a new chapter in Sean’s story. Created to celebrate Leicester City’s twin triumphs in 2016 (winning the Premiership) and 2021 (winning the FA Cup), Sean’s first branded watch had everything but the brand itself – and that’s where we came in.
We developed the brand from scratch, adapting Sean’s signature to create a logo system that would work in all necessary media, from the website to product packaging and the watch itself – including the dial, the signed crown, the exhibition caseback and the movement within. We also retouched all the macro product photography to ensure the watch looked fantastic on in every medium, from social media and the website to press advertising.
